Pleco with fungus...?

I have a small pleco who seems to have a VERY minute amount of fungus growing on his back. It looks somewhat like ich, because it isn't very big...but it isn't ich because I know what ich looks like, and this is more fungus-y looking. I am going to the pet store to buy a fungus treatment...is there a good brand I should buy? Also, is it going to be ok if I just put him in a net breeder for awhile (I don't have a quarantine tank so that will have to do unless I put him in a heated 1 gallon betta tank and move the betta to a non-heated betta tank.)? Any helpful information would be appreciated. Thanks! Also, the pleco isn't acting sick at all...he just has a very small bit of fungus on him.Pleco with fungus...?
fungicides can be pretty lethal to certain fish. might want to check with pet store experts. my philosophy is if it isnt spreading to other fish, and isnt harming the fish, let it go and see what happens. generally the medicine costs more than the fish is worth. there might be alternative treatments also such as salt and heat. i am not sure but its worth finding out about it rather than dumping in some of that blue fungus stuff which i cant remeber thename of.Pleco with fungus...?
primafix or melafix usually does it.I buy mine at walmart.
