Biology help..Fungus?

Under what kinds of conditions would you predict that a fungus would begin to produce specialized hyphae and undergo sexual reproduction? How might sexual reproduction provide an advantage over asexual reproduction for the survival of a species?Biology help..Fungus?
Fungi mainly reproduce asexually using spores which are carried by the wind and produce clones of the fungus. Of course, sexual reproduction is necessary for evolution as it provides the genetic diversity which is the basis for natural selection. When conditions are bad for a fungus it can turn to sexual reproduction for help. The DNA in the hyphae of fungi is haploid. When two of these haploid hyphae fuse, sexual reproduction is accomplished.
