Camera fungus question?!?

I have a canon eos film camera. I left it in a drawer a couple of months ago, and today i took it out, there was a fungus on the neck cord and the camera bag. Would it have infected the lens or any other component. When i look through the view finder, everything seems fine..Camera fungus question?!?
I'd discard the filter, bag, neckstrap, and any other accessory that had/has fungus on it save for the camera and lenses. Fungus is nasty and difficult to get rid of--it can easily relapse, spread, and damage your gear--so it's best to throw away any affected items that you can afford to toss and replace.

I'd also immediately stuff the camera and lens into a dehumidifier if there is one available. If not, carefully seal the camera and lens in a bag and leave it in the refrigerator for a while (store it in a compartment with a humidity controller if there is one). Fungi usually thrive in warm and humid climate. Just be sure to seal the bag or condensation may build up when you put it in or take it out of the refrigerator.
