Hej Sumel,

I live in the South of England %26amp; have found my tree going ';';same way';';, no fruit/buds yet! My tree faces full on South until 12 noon. It is a young tree 3yrs. fruited? the first year. since then nought. Although last year it was healthy. I never water plants etc in Sun. Look forward to the answers' to your interesting ';Q';. I am not sure about watering the Olive tree.

ps. Do you eat your Olives as I read if Olive's grown in the UK they should be in salt water for a few weeks, water changes every 2 days? so bitter unless! this I know for sure.White fungus on olive trees!?
Hi

Lived in the land of olives for a few years (Cyprus)

Yes use the salt water treatment making sure u re-new the water though. The local cypriots would sit in the middle of the road using a stone to open the olive slightly before jarring them. Sore them in good olive oil with garlic.

White fungus will either be botrytis caused by drought conditions usually as the plant gets stressed it will be more susceptible to diseases.

If u think this is the case then water it. The cypriots watered their olive trees a lot during fruit development time.
