A toe nail fungus normally looks yellow or green, and have a thickening of the nail it鈥檚 self. Did you bump or squish your toe? It sounds more like your nail is going to fall off due to trauma, rather than a fungus. Over the counter treatments for nail fungus rarely work well, go to your doctor to get a treatment that will work right the first time. If you see a red line creaping up from your toe, go to the ER ASAP.Does anyone know of a natural remedy for toenail fungus? just recently My little toe started turning black!?
Try Vicks vapor rub ,use every night after washing feet.Does anyone know of a natural remedy for toenail fungus? just recently My little toe started turning black!?
lamisil
No natural remedy will cure that hun
If it smells like almonds go to the hospital right away!! You may have Gangrene if that happens.
But otherwise I've never heard of a black toe fungus. No idea.
Oil of Oregano, you can get it from the health food stores (not the same as the stuff you cook with), you can take the gelcaps or apply the liquid onto %26amp; underneath affected nail every day. Usually takes about three months (or however long it takes for the nail to grow out). Fungus isn't usually black though it is usually a yellow or greenish discoloration of the nail.
Sharp knife and a towel to bite down on
Do you remember stubbing your toe or did someone step on it causing the black or bruising? If it is fungus, you might want to do some research on candida...generally too much sugar in the diet can cause candida and it shows up in the form of toenail fungus. You may also want to research tea tree oil. People use tea tree oil to treat fungus. Some of my friends found it particularly helpful in getting rid of athletes foot and poison oak.
Are you sure it is fungus? There are a number of conditions which may discolour the toenails.
Is it possible it is a bruise?
It is best you have your toenails checked by your doctor before you start applying anything and possibly making matters worse!
Once you get yourself a diagnosis, and assuming it is a fungal infection, a good remedy is thuja (arbor vitae) herbal tincture or calendula (marigold) herbal tincture from a good store.
Again, the services of a qualified podiatrist or herbalist would be advisable.
Good luck
Eleana
Actually, Ive heard rubbing lemon on it works. The acid kills whatever the fungus is. I've never done it so I have no idea.
Try using plain white vinegar. I had the same problem with my great toe and I obtained a small syringe, removed the needle and twice a day used plain white vinegar under the nail to kill the fungus. Much cheaper than Lamisil by prescription!!!
The nail will have to fully grow out, but with your little toe it should not take long...
