If you're talking about the stuff that people can get in swiming-pools or something like that, it's called ';mycose'; in French.
The cause of this infection is a ';champignon';(mushroom), a fungus or a ';levure'; (yeast).
The word ';mycose'; comes from an Ancient Greek word which means ';mushroom';.
* I know that there's a difference between bacteria and fungus but maybe the poster writes ';bacterial'; meaning something else... I don't know. It's not very clear.
Btw I don't thumb down anybody, except if there's a very good reason which isn't the case.
